Here you will find a sampling of recent oil paintings which reflect my areas of interest: portraits, florals, and streetscapes set in and around urban Toronto. I will also include scenes from the coastal town of Kennebunkport, Maine, and occasional candid images of my working process and my studio.

Sunrise on a Quiet Coastal Bay
While everyone sleeps, the rising sun catches two moored sailboats in a secluded bay.
In June, 2008, I said farewell to my art students at U of T Schools to pursue my career as a painter. When I decided to move to Toronto from Montreal 3 years ago, I hadn't considered full time teaching again. But, as a replacement art specialist, I found myself in three excellent schools: TFS, UCC, and UTS. Here in TO, I was fascinated by the rich variety of cityscapes; a subject which complemented my other favourite genres including portraiture, landscape, and still life. My artist experience includes participating in national and international exhibitions, thanks to my executive association with the Pastel Society of Eastern Canada where I met and studied with contemporary masters in pastels and oils. I was able to pass on these teachings in my own workshops. On this site, I hope to share the ongoing joy that painting is to me.Comments and insights are welcome. Please contact me via email at
